Here is some of the project information. It includes, but is not limited to: Part 1: Project Scope of Work Overview: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VACCHCS Fresno Facilities Maintenance Service, requiring refresher to the 5th and 6th Floor corridors and common areas in units. Part 2: Period of Performance (POP): Period of performance is 120 days. Part 3: General Information and Requirements: 3.1 Contractor will provide all necessary tools and accessories and labor to ensure correct parameters and safe operations are met per manufacturers specifications. The VA will supply the materials for the work to be completed. 3.2 The contractor shall be fully responsible for compliance with all VA, local, state, and federal environmental/occupational safety laws, rules, and regulations. The contractor shall follow life and safety codes and take necessary actions to avoid conditions that may be hazardous to the health and safety of hospital personnel and patients. ICRA level for this project is level IV. The contractor is responsible for meeting all applicable OSHA and VA guidelines for safe working processes; example: lock-out/tag-out program or safe handling of hazardous materials. 3.3 Meeting to set construction schedule must occur within 20 days of NTP. All work shall be coordinated with the COR assigned to this project. 3.4 Schedule: Normal work hours will be 8:00am - 4:30 pm Monday-Friday excluding Official Federal Holidays, A contractor is not to work on Official Federal Holidays as listed on OPM.gov(https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/pay-leave/federal-holidays/#url=Overview). The contractor if they need to perform work over the weekends (Saturdays and Sunday) or outside of Page 6 of 67 Page 6 of 67 work hours above that they will need to request authorization prior too performing any work from the COR/Engineer and final approval from the Contracting Officer. Any request to utility shutdowns must be requested in writing at a minimum of 21 days prior to the requested day of shutdown. 3.5 The Government shall be held harmless against any or all loss, cost, damage, claim expense or liability whatsoever, because of accident or injury to persons or property of others occurring in the performance of this contract. 3.6 The Contractor shall be responsible for all damages to property, which may be done by him/her or any employee engaged in the performance of this contract. Part 4: Detailed Project Scope of Work: 4.1 5th Floor Scope - ICU and Med/Sur: 4.1.1 Operation Hours 24hrs/day (Quiet Hours 10:00pm) 4.1.2 All materials in VA inventory 4.1.3 Cove base needs removal approximately 650 LF 4.1.4 Walls repaired and holes patched 4.1.5 Existing handrails removed approximately 650 LF 4.1.6 Install new handrails approximately 650 LF 4.1.7 Paint walls and nurses 5 stations approximately 7200 square feet 4.1.8 Install cove bases in common areas and nurses' station 4.2 6th Floor Scope - BioMed and Inpatient Mental Health: 4.2.1 Operation Hours empty 5:00pm (Quiet Hours 10:00pm) 4.2.2 All materials in VA inventory 4.2.3 Existing handrails removed approximately 600 LF 4.2.4 Existing wall guards removed approximately 600 LF 4.2.5 Cove base needs removal approximately 600 LF 4.2.6 Install cove bases in common areas approximately 600 LF 4.2.7 Walls repaired and holes patched 4.2.8 Paint walls approximately 8000 square feet 4.2.9 Install new handrails approximately 600 LF
