Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Vail, Colorado. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The work includes the removal of approximately 1800 linear feet of the 10-foot wide asphalt North Recreation Path and replacement with an 11-foot wide asphalt path. It also includes removal and replacement of approximately 830 square feet of modular block landscape wall, construction of three concrete curb ramps, and the associated curb and gutter. There is a bid alternate for the removal of the steel girder bridge over Red Sandstone Creek to be replaced with a traffic rated cast in place concrete pedestrian bridge structure.
