Description

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Greenwich, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a four-unit multi-residential development.

The Town of Greenwich is seeking proposals from engineering firms to provide structural engineering services for single and multi-unit residential dwellings as part of a NYS HCR funded housing project. The project includes moderate rehabilitation of existing 1–4-unit owner-occupied properties. The selected consultant or firm will work with Program consultants and the Town to prepare structural plans for integration into the scope of work for general contracting firms. Sites have not yet been selected. The consultant’s scope of services includes evaluating the structural stability, performing analyses as needed for housing rehabilitation projects, assessing the structural integrity of properties, and preparing a written report on methods to stabilize buildings with input from the Washington County Building Codes Department. Up to 10 properties may be assisted, but the exact number needing structural engineering is unknown. Proposals must include a brief cover letter, general qualifications and prior experience, a personnel/staffing description, a proposed fee schedule for services (hourly or flat rate plus travel expenses), and a timetable for delivery of services. Proposals must be brief and submitted via email. The Town of Greenwich may accept or reject any or all proposals and is an equal opportunity employer.
