The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is seeking bids for the rehabilitation of one home in Nowata County. Work includes carpentry, electrical, paint and finish, sheetmetal and gutters, and site work, and must comply with the provided work write-up. The job must be completed in 25 working days. The home has tested positive for lead-based paint (LBP), so safe work practices as detailed in the attached LBP report must be observed. Work should begin within two weeks of notification, with liquidated damages of $100 per day for each working day beyond the contract end date. Bidders must fully complete the Mandatory Bid Response sheet and the Work Write Up to be considered responsive/responsible. TERO certification through the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office is required for preference, and proof must accompany the bid. The lowest, most responsive bid will be awarded, subject to the availability of funds, and successful bidders must comply with Tribal regulations and TERO requirements. Bids are due by the specified deadline and can be submitted by email or hand delivery. Bidders are responsible for bid delivery, and late bids will not be considered. HACN reserves the right to determine bid responsiveness, award at its discretion, and reject any or all bids. Indian preference applies if proof of current TERO certification is provided.
