The project consists of replacing the existing water meters within the Town of Oakland water system with cellular-based AMI meters. All bid documents may be examined at specified locations or downloaded from the provided planroom website. Hard copy sets of specifications are available for purchase at the contractor's expense. There are no drawings or plans associated with this project, only the Project Manual which includes the specifications. Official plan holders list will be maintained by A2H, Inc., and it is the responsibility of all plan holders to check for addenda on the A2H Planroom. All bidders must comply with the applicable provisions of the Contractor Licensing Act of 1994, and the following information must appear on the outside of the bid envelope for projects in excess of $25,000: Name of bidder, address and phone number of bidder, name of project, bidder's license number, expiration date of license, and the classification of bidder's license that applies to the project. A bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of their bid and be licensed as a contractor of Oakland, Tennessee before beginning work. Bids must be submitted with the envelope label provided in the bid documents affixed to the front of the envelope. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
