Proposals are requested from qualified waste management companies to provide solid waste collection, recycling collection, transportation, and disposal services for district facilities. Required services include reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible waste and recycling collection, container maintenance, replacement of damaged containers, emergency pickups with response times and associated costs, overflow collection, and event-related waste collection. Bidders must supply separate pricing for all district sites and a bundled district-wide price. Services must address the ability or inability to empty containers before 7 a.m. and clearly identify materials accepted under the recycling program. Sites and the required number of lifts per week are specified for each facility. Modified summer pickup schedules or on-call services are also bid alternates. Instructions include on-site delivery and installation of all items by the stated deadline, adherence to bid submission requirements, compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, and provision of necessary insurance certificates upon request. No awarded order or any part thereof may be sublet or assigned without written approval. The Board of Education may reject any or all bids, be the sole judge of equivalency, and waive any bid requirement in accepting or rejecting bids.
