Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Davenport, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The proposed work includes all labor, materials, tools, supplies, utility and transportation services, equipment and all incidentals necessary for the 2026 Alley Cost Share Program. All work shall be done in strict compliance with the plans and specifications prepared by City Staff. Bids must be submitted electronically, and late, paper, faxed, or emailed bids will not be accepted. Prices should be free of all sales taxes; a tax exemption certificate will be issued for construction materials incorporated into real property for this project. For bids over $100,000, a Bid Bond of 5% is required, and a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the contract amount will be required from the awarded contractor. The contractor shall complete all work, including final cleanup and removal of equipment, within 35 working days. Liquidated damages are set at $1,000 per day. Manufacturers’ written warranties and guarantees are required from the awarded bidder. A Certificate of Insurance for General Liability, Workers Compensation, and Vehicle insurance coverages must be included with the bid submittal. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive technicalities and irregularities. Contractors must ensure non-discrimination in employment.
