The Glades County Board of County Commissioners requests formal sealed proposals for Owner Occupied Rehabilitation under the Glades County SHIP Program. Contractors must be pre-qualified to bid on SHIP projects. Specifications and requirements must be obtained from the SHIP Administrator. Bidders must attend a mandatory meeting and contractor review at the specified project site or will be disqualified. All responses must be submitted in a sealed envelope with proper labeling, including one original and six copies, delivered to the SHIP office by the deadline. Faxed or electronically mailed responses will not be accepted. Questions must be directed to the SHIP Administrator. The County reserves the right to reject any or all responses, waive irregularities and technicalities, re-advertise, and select the responder deemed in the best interests of Glades County. REMOVE AND REPLACE CARPET FLOORING Remove and dispose of existing worn and mold-affected carpet and padding throughout designated interior living areas. Inspect subfloor for moisture damage; notify SHIP Administrator of any conditions requiring additional repair prior to installation. Furnish and install new floor covering suitable for residential use, including: o Moisture-resistant flooring material (e.g., vinyl plank or comparable SHIP-approved finish) o Appropriate underlayment (if required) o All trims and transitions o Installation shall be level, secure, and free of defects Questions or problems arising during the RFP award process shall be directed to the SHIP Administrator and/or the County Manager.
