Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Miami, Oklahoma. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.

The Miami Tribe of Oklahoma is seeking proposals from Architecture/Engineer firms for a grant project for the Tribal Transportation Facility Bridge Program (TTFBP) Bridge Replacement. The scope includes: 1) performing applicable programming for the project location(s); 2) conducting needed project studies for the locations; 3) coordinating with all involved parties as the site lies on the Kansas/Oklahoma state line; 4) providing a fully designed construction package, including design plans, project-specific technical specifications, and construction estimates, meeting the requirements of the TTFBP program (23 CFR 661.15); 5) supplying a line-itemized construction estimate for the approved construction package; and 6) providing professional oversight and physical presence during construction, in coordination with the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) throughout the construction process. New and replacement bridge structures must adhere to current geometric, construction, and structural standards for projected traffic volumes over the design life as defined in 25 CFR part 170, subpart D, appendix B. A one-year warranty period is required post substantial completion, with a walk-through by the contractor team, USACE, and Owner after 12 months. Instructions to bidders: RFPs must be submitted by the stated deadline in both email (PDF or Dropbox link, covering all evaluation criteria) and six (6) hard copies. Selection criteria include qualifications and experience in bridge design using Federal Highway Administration guidelines, an itemized proposal within the service budget, proposed schedule with critical path items, experience with bridge and civil work near state lines, proof of insurance and bonding capability, and proof of SAM.gov registration with no exclusions. Designs will become property of the Miami Tribe on completion. The selected AE firm may be eligible to perform design for a second bridge upon satisfactory performance.
