The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is seeking bids from interested parties for the rehabilitation of one home located in Adair County. Work includes appliances, paint and finish, carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, and drywall & finish, and must be completed according to the work write-up. The job must be completed in 25 working days, with work to begin within two weeks of notification. Liquidated damages of $100.00 will be charged for each working day the project extends beyond the contract end date. To be considered, the Mandatory Bid Response sheet and the Work Write Up must be fully completed. Bidders seeking preference must be TERO certified through the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office, with proof of certification submitted. The successful bidder must comply with Tribal rules and regulations. A purchase order will be issued to the responsible contractor providing the lowest, most responsive bid in accordance with the HACN Procurement Policy, subject to availability of funds. Bids may be submitted by email or hand delivery. Indian and Non-Indian bidders are accepted. Indian preference will be given only to those providing current Cherokee Nation TERO certification. The project is subject to Section 7(b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act, and Cherokee Nation TERO requirements, including associated fees. The Davis-Bacon Wage Rate applies.
