Renovation of a mixed-use development in Decatur, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development; and multi-residential development.

Proposals are desired for a single, lump sum General Construction contract which shall include all work related to the following at three properties: replace windows, interior casing, screens, and window treatments; replace siding; replace fascia, gutters, gutter guards, and downspouts; replace soffits and soffit lights; replace individual resident mailboxes; prepare surface and repaint site light poles and light fixtures; prepare surface and repaint exterior wood-clad columns; low-pressure chemically clean brick; prepare surface and repaint steel lintels; replace exterior doors and door hardware (see ALTERNATES). All work is to be performed as described and shown in the Contract Documents prepared by Alliance Architecture. Instructions to bidders include: - Drawings, Specifications, and bidding documents will be available from Decatur Blueprint, Inc. - With each bid, an amount equal to five percent (5%) must be submitted in the form of a certified check, bank draft, U.S. Government bonds, or a satisfactory Bid Bond. - The successful bidder must be fully insured and meet all assurance requirements outlined in the Instructions to Bidders. - All contractors and subcontractors must comply with Davis-Bacon wage rates and State of Illinois prevailing wage rates, submit U.S. Department of Labor payroll forms weekly, and make a good faith effort to employ minorities and women. - The project is subject to Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. - The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, award to the lowest responsible and most responsive bidder, waive formalities or irregularities, and no bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after opening without consent. - Minority Business Enterprises and Women-Owned Businesses are encouraged to submit proposals.
