Site work for a transportation facility in Wabash, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The project involves the installation of wildlife fences and gates at the Wabash Municipal Airport. Laborers, workmen, mechanics, and other employees on the project must be paid not less than the prevailing wage for each craft, trade, or occupation as established under the Davis-Bacon Act. Bids must be submitted with a certified check or bank draft payable to the Wabash Board of Aviation Commissioners, or a satisfactory bid bond, executed by the bidder and an approved surety company, in an amount not less than five percent of the bid. Successful contractors will be required to furnish performance and payment surety bonds in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract price, with a guarantee period extending for one year from the date of final acceptance by the owner. Bidders must comply with pertinent federal provisions, including Buy American Preference, Executive Orders, and specific labor standards, as well as trade and equal opportunity requirements. Bids must be submitted on the specified proposal form, with all required information, and may only be modified by written addendum. The selected proposal will be based on the lowest aggregate bid submitted for the base bid and any combination of alternate bids if applicable. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities, and hold bids for up to 90 days for evaluation. All contractors must be prequalified with the Indiana Department of Administration or the Indiana Department of Transportation if the work is estimated at $150,000 or greater. Bids must be sealed, properly addressed to the Wabash Board of Aviation Commissioners, and clearly marked as submitted for the Wildlife Fencing and Security – Phase 2 project at the Wabash Municipal Airport.
