The project includes the demolition and removal of the existing Docks B and H and their respective anchorage systems, gangways, and utilities at the Huron Boat Basin in Erie County, Ohio. The work consists of installing new replacement floating docks decked with concrete pavers for transient dockage, as well as new anchorage systems, gangways, utilities, and pedestals. An alternate bid allows for the use of HDPE decking in lieu of concrete pavers. Each bid must include the full names of all parties making the bid, an affidavit pertaining to interested parties, and, for corporations not chartered in Ohio, a certificate authorizing them to do business in Ohio. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty Bond for the full amount (100%) of the bid, or a certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit for 10% of the bid, payable to the Owner. The successful bidder must execute the contract and provide required bond and insurance certificates within ten days of notification of award. To be considered responsive, bidders must purchase a set of plans and bid documents, be listed on the Plan Holders List, and follow all provided instructions. Bids from contractors not on the Plan Holders List will be disqualified. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and accept any bid deemed most favorable.
