Approximately every six weeks, the District undertakes the removal of dirt spoils from its Maintenance and Operations site at 15204 35th Ave W, Lynnwood WA. The work involves coordinating the export of dirt spoils with the import of gravel during the same operation. Bidders must provide unit prices for: (A) import of gravel with a matched export run of dirt spoils, (B) export of materials with a matched gravel import run, (C) export of dirt spoils materials with no matched gravel import run (estimated at 25% of exports), and (D) any other fees not addressed. All imported gravel must meet WSDOT 9-03.9(3) specifications, and pricing is based on net per-ton weight as shown on load tickets for each load delivered to an approved dumpsite. The unit price must include all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, fuel, fees, and disposal charges required to haul and properly dispose of spoil materials at a licensed disposal facility. The District will supply a loader and operator to load spoil materials into the contractor's equipment. Bids must be submitted on furnished forms and accompanied by a bid guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price. Bids must be marked as "Materials Import/Export SEALED BID" and delivered to the specified address before the stated deadline. Pricing for materials import/export shall be guaranteed for the first twelve months, with options for extension and possible price adjustments as specified.
