Sealed bids are requested for the construction of new baseball and softball fields for Arcadia High School, Arcadia, Louisiana. This construction work must be completed within 180 calendar days, with liquidated damages assessed at $500 per calendar day past this period. Bids can be submitted by mail, hand delivery, or electronically. Complete contract bid documents, including drawings and specifications, are available online or as hard copies for a refundable deposit. A certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond for five percent of the total bid is required. Performance and payment bonds, each for 100 percent of the contract price, are mandatory. Bids must use proposal forms provided by the architect. Contractors and their subcontractors must comply with state licensing laws and show license numbers on the sealed bid envelope. Proposals, amendments, or withdrawals received after the bid opening time will not be considered. Bid proposals must remain valid for forty-five days after opening. Other required documentation and compliance with federal disbarment and suspension regulations are specified.
