Renovation of a water / sewer project in Dubuque, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The City is seeking a consultant to develop a complete design for the Eagle Point WTP Boiler Replacement Project. The scope includes designing the replacement of aging boilers and heating systems at the Eagle Point WTP. The consultant will be responsible for supervising any subcontracted work, including third-party inspection firms, and may recommend subconsultant contracts as needed. The design scope is expected to include: Main Plant architectural updates for a second means of egress from the boiler room; replacement of main plant steam boilers with hot water boilers (2x at 2,500 MBtu each and 1x at 399 MBtu); replacement of steam piping and terminal units with hot water equivalents at the Main Plant; replacement of the sludge plant steam boiler with hot water boilers (4x at 399 MBtu each); and replacement of steam piping and terminal units with hot water piping and terminal units at the Sludge Plant. The design will focus on creating design and construction documents required for bidding and construction activities. Any design modifications or alternate arrangement evaluations will be based on the selected consultant's recommendations during design.
