The project involves the exterior repainting with containment, wet interior repainting, and miscellaneous repairs of the Village of Pewaukee, Wisconsin 125,000 gallon reservoir (Well 3) located at 1004 Hickory Street. The scope of work includes abrasive blast cleaning to SSPC-SP6 commercial standard for the exterior and SSPC-SP10 near-white metal standard for the wet interior, with application of specified multi-coat zinc epoxy urethane systems. Repairs and modifications include: installation of sidewall manway and gasket, wet interior roof hatch gasket, sample tap and chemical feed tap on the draw pipe, overflow discharge modification, replacement of fall prevention devices, trimming and guarding of exterior ladders, sidewall platform installation, roof vent replacement with a pressure vacuum vent, roof handrail and railing, pit welding, wet interior sump installation, and realignment of the overflow splash pad. Coordination and payment for removal and reinstallation of the cathodic protection system is also required. Additional work includes grout repair and epoxy coating of the foundation. Only registered plan holders will be notified of late addenda. The contractor is to commence work on or after July 1, achieve substantial completion by October 31, and must limit the tank out-of-service period to 45 days. Work hours are from 7:00 AM to dusk. Liquidated damages apply for late completion and exceedance of allowed out-of-service time. Pre-qualification requirements: Dixon Engineering will review qualifications of all contractors and determine their status. Contractors will be prequalified for different sized tanks and towers based on experience, workmanship, successful project completions with Dixon, and contractor's financial data.
