Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Elkmont, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the construction of a water / sewer project.
In general, the project includes a raw water pump, pre-treatment basin, main building, package filters, chemical storage & feed, splitter box, high service pump station, equalization basin, drying bed building, ductile iron piping, electrical, SCADA, and asphalt paving. Instructions to bidders include submitting sealed bids clearly marked on the outside of the envelope, accompanied by a bid bond or cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price or $10,000. The successful bidder is required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price and payment bond in the amount of 50% of the contract price. Performance and payment bonds must be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. Proposals must comply with the competitive bid laws of Alabama Title 39 and all provisions relating to “General Contractor.” The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty days from the date set for receiving the bids. Pre-qualification requirements: All General Contractors must be prequalified.
