Renovation of a medical facility in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center, responses to the University's prequalification documents for a CM/Contractor contract are sought from prospective bidders for the following project: Hyde Hospital Behavioral Health Renovation The University has determined that bidders who submit bids on this project must be prequalified. Prequalified bidders will be required to have the following California contractor's license(s): General Building Contractor, Class B License The project consists of phased interior renovations supporting Behavioral Health Services (BHS) safety improvements and development of a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) at UCSF Health Hyde Hospital. Work will occur within an occupied acute care hospital environment and includes distinct scopes on the 3rd, 4th, and 12th floors. The 3rd floor scope consists primarily of targeted behavioral health safety improvements within an active inpatient unit, including ligature-resistant upgrades, patient room modifications, and associated infrastructure work. The 4th floor scope consists of renovation and reconfiguration of an existing inpatient unit to support MHRC operations, including patient rooms, staff support spaces, and rehabilitation-focused program areas. The 12th floor scope consists of extensive demolition and build-out of a new MHRC unit, including construction of patient care, treatment, support, and administrative spaces and associated building system modifications. The project includes selective and full interior demolition, patient room renovations, ligature-resistant upgrades, nurse station and support space modifications, and associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety work required to support the renovated units. Construction activities will occur adjacent to active patient care operations and will require detailed phasing, infection control measures, interim life safety measures (ILSM), and coordination with UCSF Facilities, clinical staff, hospital operations, and security personnel. The project will require careful management of demolition activities, utility shutdowns, temporary barriers, patient and staff circulation, vibration, noise, dust, and access constraints within occupied behavioral health and inpatient environments. All work will be subject to HCAI review and approval. The estimated construction cost range for the project is $25,000,000 - $35,000,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
