The contractor is to provide all required labor, tools, materials, and equipment for a full interior and exterior renovation of an existing building located at 5209 W. Wendover Ave., High Point, NC 27265, to create a new recovery facility for women with children within Guilford County, North Carolina, with an area of approximately 32,069 SF. The scope of work includes architectural, interior, MEP/FP engineering, civil engineering, structural engineering, landscape architecture, foodservice, and security design requirements. Renovations will include utility upgrades, parking lot replacement, new playground equipment, outdoor patio structures, fencing, landscaping, and exterior lighting. Interior renovations involve reconfiguration of walls and ceilings and finish upgrades. Mechanical renovations include replacement of ductwork, controls, air handlers, and addition of a new chiller with piping. Electrical work covers lighting, outlets, and fire alarm replacements. Plumbing renovations involve all restrooms and kitchen equipment, and the existing sprinkler, telecommunications, and security systems must also be replaced. The contractor must prepare the space for recovery facility operations and provide all necessary labor, tools, equipment, and materials as required by the project documents. Respondents and their subcontractors must be licensed to perform all required work in North Carolina. Participation of minority-owned and women-owned businesses is encouraged.
