Hollywood Road Extension from Sexsmith Road to John Hindle Drive. This project includes an upgrade to portions of existing Hollywood Road including signalized intersections at Sexsmith Road and Lougheed Road, roundabouts at Academy Way/Pinto Road, Road A and John Hindle Drive, and intersection improvements at Appaloosa Road and Neaves Road, as well as new construction for portions of the project north of Lougheed Road to John Hindle Drive. Works include paving, curbs, sidewalks, multi-use path, landscaping, irrigation, parking lanes, watermain upgrades, pressure reducing valve station, drainage system installations, sanitary sewer upgrade, streetlighting, underground electrical and communication ducting, pavement markings and signage. The Work can be briefly summarized as follows: Hollywood Road Extension from Sexsmith Road to John Hindle Drive (“Project”). This project includes an upgrade to portions of existing Hollywood Road, including roundabout and signalized and unsignalized intersections, as well as construction of sanitary sewers, watermains, drainage infrastructure and landscaping. Approximate quantities of key items are: 59,800 m2 of paving; 35,600 m2 of base gravel; 36,000 m2 of sub base gravel; 6,210 m of curb; 1,200 m2 of sidewalk and infill; 68 Streetlights; Landscaping (293 trees, ground cover, sod and irrigation); Riparian compensation planting for Carney Pond 9 Pedestrian and 2 Intersection signals; 2,060 m of watermain and appurtenances; 2,920 m of storm sewers and drainage appurtenances; 69 catchbasins; 470 m of sanitary sewer; 55 manholes; 1 pressure reducing valve station 60 m of wildlife crossing.
