Public Works Interior Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project. Bids must contain the full name or names of the party or parties making the bid, an affidavit as to interested parties, and for corporations not chartered in Ohio, a certificate authorizing them to do business in Ohio. Each bid must be accompanied by a bond, or a certified or cashier's check on a solvent bank, payable to the City of Shaker Heights, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total base bid. The bid bond or check will serve as a guarantee that, if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance secured by the bond or check; if not, the bond or check and its amount will be forfeited as liquidated damages. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, and accept any bid deemed most favorable. Minority Business Enterprises, Female Business Enterprises, and Small Business Enterprises will be given full opportunity to submit bids or proposals. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, testing, and incidentals necessary to remove and replace approximately 400 linear feet of existing 4-inch underground cast-iron sanitary sewer piping with new 4-inch Schedule 40 PVC sanitary sewer piping.
