Renovation of a fire / police facility in Eugene, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,150-square-foot fire / police facility.
In general, the Project, located at 2002 Bailey Hill Road, Eugene, OR 97405, includes replacement of the single ply roofing system (approximately 3,150 sf) with a new PVC roof membrane system. The work includes complete removal of existing roofing system, repair of existing roof deck as necessary, new tapered insulation crickets, new safety tie-off mounts, new parapet ladder, replacement of existing mechanical rooftop unit with a new owner-procured contractor-installed unit and new site-built roof curb, replacement siding in isolated locations, and new membrane. Replace exposed fasteners in the existing metal roofing area (approximately 2,350). The Project also includes voluntary upgrades to the roof to wall diaphragm connections. The building is an active fire station that will remain in operation during the project. The contractor is required to work within the available site area for staging and construction parking as described in the drawings, and to coordinate daily construction activities to minimize impact on emergency response activities. Attending the pre-bid conference is mandatory for Prime Bidders. Bids will be submitted through the OregonBuys portal before the due date and time specified. Bidders shall submit a Bid Security for ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount, plus any additive alternates, using the acceptable methods outlined. The City will not consider Bids unless the Bidder (Contractor) is registered with the Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS 701. This project is a public works project subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. Non-resident bidders must indicate their status on the Bid Form.
