Description

Site work for a parking garage in Friday Harbor, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a parking garage.

This project involves the installation of Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at the Village at the Harbor, 543 Spring Street, Friday Harbor, funded through the Washington Electric Vehicle Charging Program 2. The selected contractor will act as a subcontractor to the District under the grant agreement and must provide required documentation and deliverables at each milestone as required by the Washington State Department of Commerce, Energy Division. Scope of Work: - Provide and install eight (8) Level 2 charging ports, each with at least one SAE J1772, CCS1, or NACS connector. At least two ports must have an SAE J1772 connector. - Each port must deliver a minimum of 6.0 kW power output and no less than 4.0 kW per port under simultaneous use, managed by Automated Load Management or equivalent systems. - Equipment must support Wi-Fi, cellular (4G or above), or Ethernet networking, and must use OCPI 2.2.1 and OCPP 2.0.1 protocols. - All equipment must be ENERGY STAR certified and listed in the ENERGY STAR product database, and certified to UL 2594 by a nationally recognized testing laboratory. - Compliance with Washington State Department of Agriculture rules and all other applicable state laws and rules is required. - Complete all electrical work, including both utility-side and customer-side make-ready, trenching, grading, filling, paving, sealing, mounting, and commissioning. - Supply and install load/demand management equipment and software, emergency shut-off equipment at each station, necessary signage, bollards, wheel stops, painting, and striping. Preferred features include dark sky-compliant lighting and vandalism-prevention measures. - Carry out all required ADA upgrades necessitated by this installation. - Provide all design, engineering, capacity analysis, permitting (electrical and construction), and project management required for the project.
