Question Deadline 06/22/2026 at 12:00 PM ET Prospective bidders may address inquiries to Jessica Sells through online Each bid must include a Bid Bond in the form of a Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Letter of Credit payable to the Hancock County Commissioners in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, or a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. A Performance Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price is required as part of the contract. Bidders must pay special attention to all requirements, especially Federal Labor Standards, Davis Bacon Wages, insurance requirements, equal opportunity provisions, and the payment and performance bond requirement for 100% of the contract price. Bids may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids but may not be withdrawn within 30 days after opening. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and accept the most favorable bid. 20265 SR 68 Porter scope of work: "The proposed sewage treatment system alteration is for the installation of a new 1500 gallon two-compartment septic tank with effluent filter connected to existing dual sub-surface sand filter beds. The new septic tank must be installed at least 10 feet from the house foundation and at least 50 feet from the existing well. Roughly 180 feet of 4" SCH 35 pipe must be properly installed to connect the new septic tank to the existing diverter box. Hancock Public Health has measured 2' 8" of fall from the existing sewer pipe at the house foundation to the existing diverter box, and 1' 4" of fall from the outlet of the existing house septic tank to the existing diverter box. A new lid must be installed on the south outlet tile inspection port of the existing filter beds. Two existing 1000-gallon septic tanks on the property must be properly pumped and abandoned. The yard will be returned to rough grading with a dirt mound to allow for settling and seeding will be at the homeowners expense. The awarded contractor will be required to pay the $364.00 septic disposal alteration permit fee to Hancock Public Health." 20265 SR 68 Project Cost Estimate: $10,500
