Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work consists of replacing approximately 1280 linear feet of 6-inch cast iron water main with new 8-inch ductile iron cement lined pipe by open cut as specified. The successful bidder must comply with all applicable laws protecting individuals from discrimination, and adhere to requirements for payment of certain minimum salaries and wages and other applicable federal and state laws as set forth in Article 27 of the instructions to Bidders. The City will determine the lowest responsible bidder based on criteria including the quality of services supplied, responsiveness, past performance, compatibility with City services, and the bidder's ability to handle the proposed volume of work. Consideration is also given to contractor integrity, compliance with public policy, record of past performance, and financial and technical resources. The City reserves the right to reject any bidder not possessing satisfactory qualifications, to reject any or all bids, to re-advertise, and to waive technical defects or informalities if in the City's judgment it is in the City's interest. The City may also reject bids that are deemed incomplete, conditional, obscure, or which contain additions, erasures, alterations, omissions, or irregularities of any kind.
