The project consists of the construction of concrete sidewalk along the north side of Mount Pleasant Avenue to connect the First Presbyterian Church of Hanover to East Hanover Senior Citizens Center as delineated on Construction Plans. The work includes construction of curbs, HMA full depth pavement repairs, grading and drainage improvements, striping, site restoration, and all other improvements depicted within the Bid Documents. All work on this contract must be completed within thirty (30) calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Proposals must be made on the standard proposal forms included with the Contract Documents, enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, and addressed to the Township of East Hanover. Each bid must be accompanied by a statement of consent of surety from a surety company authorized to do business in New Jersey and either a bid bond or a certified check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, not to exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond and labor and material (payment) bond for the full amount of the project. Proposals will only be accepted from properly qualified bidders accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner, except for mandatory items set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.2. The successful bidder must comply with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to affirmative action requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq., and the public disclosure provisions of N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
