Sealed bids are requested for Parking Lot Modifications at South Elementary School for Jackson-Madison County School District in Jackson, TN. Bids are to be received for Asphalt Paving. Bidders must be Licensed Contractors as required by TCA 62-6-119(2016), and must include their Name, License Number, Expiration Date, and License Classification on the sealed envelope containing the bid. All bids in excess of $25,000.00 must include bid security equal to 5% of each bid sum, issued by a surety licensed in Tennessee with an A.M. Best Rating of "A" or better, payable to Lashlee-Rich, Inc. Bidders awarded contracts exceeding $25,000.00 must also provide Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the Subcontract Sum from a surety with an A.M. Best Rating of "A" or better, payable to Lashlee-Rich, Inc. All Labor and Material and Labor Only Bidders must attach the Drug Free Work Place Affidavit to their Bid. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form provided. No bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive informality or reject any/all bids. No sub-contract is given or implied until a written sub-contract is offered and signed by all parties. All bidders must comply with Tennessee Code Annotated Section 49-5-413, which requires contractors to facilitate criminal history records checks by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for every employee prior to allowing contact with students or entry onto school grounds when students are present. Emailed bids must be date stamped no later than 12:00 Noon on the specified bid day, and bid security checks cannot be submitted by email.
