The City of St. Johns is accepting sealed bids for the replacement of defective sidewalk, installation ofADA-compliant ramps, curb replacement, and associated site restoration. The City of St. Johns is seeking qualified contractors to complete sidewalk, ADA ramp, and curb improvements involving the removal and replacement of defective sections, along with restoration of all disturbed areas. All work shall conform to the City of St. Johns' current construction standards and specifications. Construction standards may be obtained through the City's website or by contacting Jeremy Ritter. The work associated with sidewalk replacement shall include, but not be limited to, the following: o Removal and disposal of existing sidewalk using approved construction methods. o Preparation and grading ofthe subbase to required elevations. o Placement of a minimum 4-inch compacted aggregate base. o Removal ofroots, debris, and unsuitable materials prior to base installation. o Installation offorms to ensure proper drainage and prevent ponding or standing water. o Placement and finishing of concrete sidewalk in accordance with City construction standards. o Restoration of all disturbed lawn areas following removal offorms, including grading, placement of organic topsoil, and application of grass seed. Curb and ADA Ramp Work The work associated with curb and ADA ramp replacement shall include, but not be limited to, the following: o Removal and disposal of existing curb and ADA ramps using approved construction methods. o Preparation and grading ofthe subbase to required elevations. o Placement of a minimum 4-inch compacted aggregate base. o Installation and finishing of curb and ADA ramps in accordance with City construction standards and ADA requirements. o Repair ofroadway over-dig areas with asphalt to match the new gutter pan grade. o Restoration of all disturbed green space areas, including placement of organic topsoil and grass seed. Bidders shall provide unit pricing as follows: o Sidewalk and ADA Ramp Work:_Price per square foot for removal, replacement, and restoration. o Curb Work: Price per linear foot for removal, replacement, and restoration.
