Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Waterloo, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 100,000-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The WRDSB is pre-qualifying General Contractors for the opportunity to bid on future tenders for new elementary school construction projects (new builds). General Contractors are invited to submit PRE-QUALIFICATION information for the proposed construction of New Elementary Schools (JK-grade 8). The projects will be comprised of a building area between 55,000 sq. ft. and 100,000 sq. ft of new construction on a green site of up to eight (8) acres. The projects are expected to be in construction within this two year agreement Scope of Work. Generally, the buildings consist of up to 3 storey masonry load bearing and steel energy efficient structure to accommodate 700 -pupil place elementary school and 72 place child care. Also included, but not limited to, is full site development that consists of playgrounds, parking, retaining walls, sidewalks, storm water management and landscaping including rights-of-way.
