Renovation of a library in Riverside, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
The University of California, Riverside (UCR) intends to procure the services of a B - GeneralContractor to provide and construct a mist fire suppression system for the special collections area of the 4th floor of the Rivera Library. Base Bid provide a cleaning agent for 2 separate zones (Vault B & Vault Storage) and add detection throughout the Phase 1 area to support the water mist fire suppression system refer to in the construction documents. Clean agent fire suppression system will be provided within the special collection vaults. In order to utilize the clean agent system, utility and mechanical modifications will need to be made within the vault areas to support the clean agent system. The project will be bid with 4 Bid Alternatives which expand the micro mist system outside of the special collection stack areas and include workrooms, offices, and additional collection areas. Refer to the drawings for details on the bid alternates as specified in the Construction Documents. ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $1,200,000 PROJECT DURATION: 100 calendar days
