The Board of County Commissioners of Lewis and Clark County, Montana is soliciting competitive Statements of Qualifications and proposals from experienced firms for the Courthouse Elevator Replacement Design-Build Project. Respondents are required to submit sealed SOQs and proposals by the specified deadline. The County reserves the right to reject any or all submissions, waive informalities, postpone the solicitation within a specified period, and accept the proposal deemed in the best interest of the County. Respondents are to adhere to all terms and conditions outlined in the solicitation, and no costs associated with preparing the submission will be reimbursed. Project consists of: Alternative Project Delivery Design-Build contract to replace the existing four-stop elevator that services all courthouse floors, except the attic. In addition, the project will add a new small single-floor freight elevator to run alongside the main elevator shaft from the third floor to the attic to provide secondary maintenance access. Generally, services are expected to include the following: o Demolition and removal of existing elevator, components, and any hazardous materials; o Design and replace the existing Courthouse elevator; o Design and install a cargo elevator/dumb waiter between third floor and attic; o Follow all applicable codes, regulations, and standards including the Secretary of Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and the related guidelines for rehabilitating a historic building; o Analyze existing conditions and provide design solutions for improving accessibility, fire, life, safety, structural, water proofing, drainage, ventilation, noise reduction, and other conditions that may exist;Scope of Services The specific scope of services will be negotiated prior to signing the Contract.
