Remodeling of a theater / auditorium in Wamego, Kansas. Completed plans call for the remodel of a theater / auditorium.
The project consists of providing interior painting services for the theater room located on the second floor of the Columbian Theater. The work includes painting designated interior wall surfaces while ensuring protection of all existing murals, artwork, architectural features, furnishings, and adjacent surfaces from damage or overspray. The selected contractor is responsible for scheduling and conducting a mandatory site visit, furnishing all necessary paint, labor, equipment, tools, and materials, preparing all designated wall surfaces, covering and protecting all murals and artwork, painting surfaces as specified, applying paint according to manufacturer recommendations and industry standards, removing all materials and debris upon completion, and leaving the area clean and orderly. All work schedules must be coordinated with City staff. Proposals must include a detailed cost proposal, contractor qualifications, copy of insurance, anticipated project schedule, and a description of proposed methods for protecting murals and artwork during construction. All proposals over $100,000 require bonding. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals.
