Removal and replacement of an existing 4-inch cast iron force main of approximately 1,000 linear feet with a 4-inch HDPE SDR11 Thermal Butt Fused force main located on Cider Mill Road. Additional work includes furnishing, installing, and maintaining a temporary sanitary sewer bypass and pavement restoration. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and labor and material payment bonds in the full amount of the agreed contract price. This project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements of Connecticut General Statutes Section 31-53. Bids may be rejected for irregularities, alterations of form, additions not called for, conditional proposals, incomplete bids, or if the bid does not meet the standard of quality established by the bidding documents. Minority and women's business enterprises are encouraged to bid. The Town reserves the right to amend or withdraw the invitation to bid, accept or reject any or all bids, and waive any informalities or non-material deficiencies.
