Question Deadline 07/03/2026 Submit questions about Bidding Documents to the Architect-Engineer. Replies will be issued to Prime Bidders of record as Addenda to the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seventy-two (72) hours before the Bid opening cannot be answered. Project consists of removal of the existing scoreboard/videoboard and installation of a new exterior scoreboard/videoboard on existing structure at the Urbandale High School Stadium and removal of existing scoreboards/videoboards and installation of new interior scoreboards/videoboards on the walls of the competition gymnasium in the Urbandale High School. The work includes all General and Electrical Work. Work on the Project shall commence as soon as possible after Notice to Proceed and is scheduled for a substantial completion date on or before October 30, 2026. Final Acceptance to be no later than sixty (60) days after substantial completion. Exterior Videoboard shall be fully operational by August 25, 2026, for the first Freshman Home Football game. If electrical work for the exterior videoboard is not complete by August 25, 2026, Bidder shall provide temporary generator, including fuel and accessories, to operate the exterior video scoreboard until the electrical work is competed for that videoboard. Each Bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security in a separate, sealed envelope as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8, as security that the successful Bidder will enter into a Contract for the work bid upon and will furnish within ten (10) days after the award of Contract a corporate Surety Bond, in a form acceptable to the Board of Directors of the Urbandale Community School District, for the faithful performance of the Contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract. The Bidder's security shall be in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid and shall be in the form of a cashier's check or a certified check drawn on an FDIC insured bank in Iowa or on an FDIC insured bank chartered under the laws of the United States; or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States; or a Bid Bond on the form provided in the Contract Documents with corporate Surety satisfactory to the Board of Directors of Urbandale Community School District. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications. Bid security shall be made payable to Urbandale Community School District. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish within ten (10) days of the award proof of insurance as required by the Bid Documents and a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond both in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price and in accordance with other requirements outlined in the Bid Documents. After the award of the Project, return the Documents, in reusable condition, to Action Reprographics. If shipping is required, there will be a non-refundable fee required for each set shipped. The cost shall be determined by Action Reprographics based on the size of the project. Checks for shipping shall be made out to Action Reprographics. The Board of Directors may make the contract award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting specifications. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities as allowed by law, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interests of Urbandale Community School District.
