40,000 GSF new building to improve research and instructional spaces for undergraduate & graduate students. Scope includes demolition; new labs, specialty spaces, collaboration spaces, lab support, write-up spaces, offices and a GMP Pilot Plant. UMBA is seeking Construction Manager Services Statement of Qualifications for the Food Innovation Hub project at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Campus. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Construction MBE firm participation goal 4.2% Construction WBE firm participation goal 8.8% Construction VBE firm participation goal 3.0% Construction workforce: Minorities: 15.3%; Women: 6.9% The preferred concept and program is a three-story building that has a 12,400 GSF footprint with a total of 40,000 GSF of assignable space. The program associated with this concept plan includes research labs, specialty spaces, collaboration spaces, lab support, write-up spaces, office spaces and a large GMP Pilot Plant. The program summary includes: o Research Labs + lab support 12,450 nsf new (15,932 existing) o Write-up spaces 4,950 nsf new (3,562 existing) o Offices 1,500 nsf new (3,552 existing) o Innovation test kitchen 1,500 nsf new (none existing) o Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Pilot Plant 3,000 nsf new (none existing) o Sensory Lab 3,000 nsf new (none existing) o Food Connection Center 1,400 nsf new (none existing) o Collaboration space 900 nsf new (none existing) o Loading Dock / shipping 400 nsf new (800 existing) o See Attachment C for more program details In performing the Scope of Services for the Project, the Construction Manager will enforce and support the Architect's consideration of energy efficiency and sustainable design practices, using the U. S. Green Building Council's LEED (C) Rating System, and shall advise the Authority of any financial impact which may result. It is intended that Project will be an energy efficient and environmentally sustainable facility that will meet, at a minimum, the requirements of LEED (C) Silver Certification. Reference Executive Order 594 for Certification Requests for information or clarification of the intent or content of the RFQ, and any other questions from prospective Respondents regarding the Project or this RFQ must be submitted in writing to the OPM in the manner set forth in Section 4.8 and must be received by the OPM on or before 12:00pm on June 16, 2026.
