Description

Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Corunna, Michigan. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility; educational facility; and educational facility.

Corunna Public Schools is seeking proposals from qualified companies to provide door access controls for specific doors in the district. The project may be divided among sections or buildings depending on contractor availability. Required information in the bid includes company details and separate pricing for each district site, as well as a bundled district-wide price. Work involves furnishing and installing equipment and related hardware for controlled access at Corunna High School, Corunna Middle School, and Elsa Meyer Elementary School. This includes providing and installing power supplies, R2R door controllers, electronic door latches, exterior mounted readers, door magnetic contact switches, necessary wiring, backup batteries, system programming to integrate with existing Honeywell access control (JACE), and graphics implementation. Installation, labor, and materials are to be included. All items must be delivered and installed on-site by the specified deadline. Bidders must submit sealed bids clearly marked with the relevant information. Bidders should provide descriptive literature for equivalent items, with samples supplied if requested. Successful bidders may need to provide instruction in the use and care of delivered equipment. Each group of items or individual items may constitute a separate bid, though the Board of Education may accept a combined bid. Bids must not include applicable excise taxes, and exemption forms will be provided if needed. Manufacturer written guarantees and other relevant guarantees should accompany bids. Evidence of the ability to install, service, or supply the required items may be requested. Bidders must certify compliance with all relevant laws, and performance bonds or insurance certificates may be required when requested. No part of the awarded order may be sublet or assigned without written approval. Submission of a bid acknowledges the adequacy and appropriateness of the specifications and instructions.
