Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to repair and replace sections of the Mass Parking Apron (MPA) at Minot Air Force Base using a design-bid-build approach. Work involves phased removal and replacement of existing pavement sections over multiple years to establish a uniform apron width of 340 feet south of the MPA centerline taxiway. The project includes construction of new Portland cement concrete (PCC) pavement, installation of temporary asphalt concrete (AC) transitions to tie new and existing pavement, and limited grading of adjacent turf areas to improve drainage. Existing asphalt shoulders will be milled, removed, and stockpiled for future use, with all work performed in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards. Repair/Replace Mass Parking Apron , Section V at Minot AFB, ND: This project will be executed using a design-bid -build (DBB) project delivery method, which will require the contractor to provide the government with a complete warranty based on the Request for Proposal (RFP). The estimated construction cost of this project is between $25,000,000 and $35,000000. The entire Mass Parking Apron will be removed and replaced in multiple sections over the course of several years. The existing MPA was originally constructed under two separate contracts. For unknown reasons, the first constructed eastern half is 5' narrower than the western half south of the MPA centerline taxiway (335' vs. 340'). This project will establish a uniform MPA width of 340' south of the MPA centerline taxiway. Due to slight changes in finished top of pavement grades between the new MPA Section(s) pavement and the existing MPA pavement to remain, a new temporary ACC transition will be required to connect new MPA Section(s) PCC pavement to existing MPA PCC pavement. Limited grading of turf areas adjacent to new ACC shoulder pavement to improve surface drainage away from paved shoulder edges (Provide 1-1/2" drop-off at edge per UFC 3-260-01 , Chapter 6). Existing asphalt shoulders required to be removed will be milled by the Contractor and stockpiled for Minot AFB use at a later date at the location shown on the drawings.
