New construction of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 10-story above grade, one-story below grade elderly care / assisted living facility.

Deep Foundation Design-Build Contractors are invited to submit information indicating their interest and ability to perform deep foundation design and install services for the proposed 10 STOREY + 1 BASEMENT BUILDING NORTH OF TORONTO. The project consists of a new 10 storey building with one level of basement. The building footprint of the project is approximately 27,000 square feet. Above grade structure will consist of precast concrete planks on concrete load bearing and shear walls, and steel beams on steel columns. Concrete basement and foundation walls, concrete piers below steel columns, and basement slab on grade will be designed by the structural consultant and included in the "above-grade" structure. Deep foundation design to include pile design (concrete caissons, helical piles, etc. at the deep foundation designer's recommendation) grade beams, and pile caps. Scope of service to include installation. Foundation permit drawing package submission expected September 2026. Information is to be submitted using CCDC Document 11 - 2019 identifying major project experience in Ontario including multi-storey residential and/or institutional projects for which deep foundation design and install services have been provided. Please refrain from submitting promotional materials not relevant to this prequalification, or statistics for projects outside Ontario. Deep Foundation Design-Build Contractors will be evaluated according to their relevant experience, capacity, proximity, and quality of services, based on reviewing submissions and contacting references provided. Provide the Owner, Construction Manager, and the Consultant references who can confirm recent performance based on these criteria. Schlegel Villages (the Owner) has sole discretion over the selection of those firms, if any, who will be contacted to submit detailed proposals.
