Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Byng Inlet, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The awarded contractor shall disconnect the existing dock ramp and associated hardware and secure the ramp and dock appropriately for the duration of the construction. The contractor shall remove all existing wood elements of the existing retaining wall and adhere to constructing the engineered plans included in the quotation package. Disposal of all waste material is the responsibility of the contractor. The composition of the existing structure includes wood members, small boulders approximately 256mm-512mm, elements of a historic concrete slab, and granular material as shown in the site pictures. The contractor shall be responsible for good construction practices including, but not limited to, silt and sediment control, traffic control, clean equipment protocol, and appropriate protection of the public from the work area. The contractor shall be responsible for submitting pedestrian guard shop drawings for owner approval, and the installation of approved guards. The contractor shall affix securely any hardware to the newly constructed retaining wall for the mounting of the dock ramp and shall connect the ramp and the dock as part of the scope of work to conclude the project. A quotation of Redi-Rock material is provided for reference only to assist contractors. Redi-Rock product should be Smooth, or alternatively Limestone.
