This Request for Supplier Qualifications is issued by UHN for the purpose of soliciting Proposals from interested Proponents for the creation of a VOR List for Fire and Life Safety Services. The Work is to be performed from the contract award date (anticipated to be August 2026) for a period of three (3) years. The resulting list will be used for future projects and support on an as-needed basis. Prequalification under this RFSQ does not guarantee any minimum volume of work, revenue, or future opportunity. UHN is under no obligation to award work to any or all prequalified suppliers and reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether and when to utilize the Vendor of Record arrangement. UHN may elect to procure the goods and/or services through other procurement mechanisms at any time. The work to be completed by Prequalified Proponents under this VOR may include, but is not limited to: a) Fire Alarm Systems o Annual inspections and testing o Deficiency repairs o Emergency service o Device replacement o Panel programming/configuration o Compliance maintenance o Integrated system troubleshooting b) Sprinkler (all types), Standpipe & Fire Pump Systems o Annual inspections/testing o Drain downs o Fire pump testing o Valve inspections o Deficiency repairs o Emergency response o Compliance maintenance per NFPA 25 c) Fire Extinguishers & Special Suppression Systems (Pre-action systems) o Portable extinguisher inspections/service o Kitchen suppression systems o Clean agent systems o Pre-action systems o CO2 and special hazard systems d) Emergency Lighting & Exit Sign Systems o Annual inspections/testing o Battery replacement o Inverter maintenance o Deficiency repairs o Compliance testing e) Smoke Control, Pressurization & HVAC Fire Safety Integration o Smoke control testing o Stair pressurization verification o HVAC/fire alarm integration o Damper inspections o Cause-and-effect verification o Integrated systems troubleshooting o Mechanical engineering/fire protection engineering consultant support may also be separately retained for integrated system verification and commissioning. f) Fire Hydrants (Private) o Annual inspections o Flow testing o Repairs o Painting/tagging o Valve maintenance
