**As of August 26, 2026, the awarded contractor is Centennial Contractors of the Quad Cities, Inc., with the award amount of $72,252.50.** Sealed bids are invited for the rebid of the quiet zone improvements along the BNSF Peoria subdivision in Galesburg, referred to as Section 24-02201-34-RR for the Public Works Division. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, and Performance Bonds will be required. Vendors must comply with all applicable EEO laws and regulations, the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, the Illinois Preference Act, and Resolution No. 90-74 regarding the Human Relations Act and pertinent federal and state rules and regulations. The right is reserved to accept any bid or any part thereof, or reject any and all bids. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is compliant and most advantageous to the City of Galesburg, considering price and other factors.
