All bidders must be able to submit a sworn statement to the Township of Burlington demonstrating that it is a responsible contractor as defined by Minnesota Statute 16C.285. The failure to provide such a statement will render any proposal non-responsive. Responses to technical questions will be issued by addendum within 2 days prior to the bid opening. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidder's security in a sum equal to five (5) percent of the full amount of the bid. The bidder may submit a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to the City of Walker. The bid security is a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contact, will enter into a contract for the work described in the Contract Documents. The bid security of the three (3) lowest bidders will be retained until the contract has been awarded and executed, but no longer than sixty (60) days after the opening of bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish contract Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the full amount of the contract.
