The City of Victoria invites qualified contractors to submit an offer to remove and replace approximately 2,750 square feet of vinyl sheet flooring in the gymnasium at Fernwood Community Centre (1240 Gladstone Ave.). Documents can be obtained from https://victoria.bonfirehub.ca/ Question Deadline 06/23/2026 Removal and preparation o Setup hoarding to isolate work area o Remove and dispose of approximately 2,750 SF of vinyl sheet flooring. o Remove and dispose of rubber baseboard. o Remove all glue residue and complete all floor preparation required to ensure the concrete slab surface is ready to receive vapour barrier and new vinyl sheet flooring. o Water drop test: 3 drops of water must be absorbed into concrete within 60 seconds, otherwise further concrete preparation is necessary Concrete Repairs (if required) o Review existing conditions and determine the extent of any concrete repairs required, including addressing any visible cracks. o Contractors to provide unit pricing/lm forthis cost and repair costs will be addressed through Change Order process outlined in the attached Contractor Work Agreement. Install Ardex moisture prevention system o Apply 2 coats of roll on Ardex VB100 moisture vapor barrier o Apply one coat of Ardex V1300 self leveling o Allow self leveling to cure for 24 hours prior to installation of new vinyl flooring Install new flooring o Supply and install new vinyl flooring, baseboard, and transitions; contractor to verify all measurements. o Tarkett Optima, Protect-All or approved alternate o Fully certified installers for all products.
