This contract consists of a base bid and twelve alternates in Upper Southampton Township. The base bid includes full depth 1 1/2 inch milling, base repair, leveling, line striping, and wearing course overlay on three roadways. Alternates #1 through #10 include full depth 1 1/2 inch milling, leveling, and wearing course overlay on Jason Drive, Nicolas Drive, Gregory Drive, Stahl Road, Provident Road, Melrose Ave, Harding Ave, Willopenn Drive, Buckhill Drive, and Davisville Road. Alternate #11 includes full depth 1 1/2 inch milling, leveling, wearing course overlay, and miscellaneous line striping at the Upper Southampton Township Willi Schaefer Athletic Complex. Alternate #12 includes grading, leveling, base course installation, full depth 1 1/2 inch milling, wearing course overlay, and miscellaneous line striping at the Tamanend Park bathroom facility. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent of the Bid amount payable to the Township of Upper Southampton along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of the Township. Only pre-qualified PADOT prime contractors will be accepted. The project is subject to Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and the prevailing minimum wage rates. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty days after the date set for opening. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, eliminate any item(s), to waive any informality, and to increase or decrease quantities of work as necessary. The contractor will be paid at the unit prices bid for actual work performed.
