Site work for a communication facility in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a communication facility.
The project involves the installation of aerial fiber optic traffic signal interconnect cable along Lancaster Avenue (SR 0030) from Woodview Way to Plank Avenue in Willistown Township, Chester County. This includes connecting the fiber to individual traffic signal controllers to establish communications at the specified intersections. The work also includes a controller cabinet replacement and installation of a four-section flashing yellow arrow head at Lancaster Avenue and King Road. Bids must be submitted unconditionally and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the state where the owner is located will be accepted. Prospective bidders must be pre-qualified with PENNDOT in accordance with Section 102.01 of PENNDOT Publication 408 - Specifications, latest edition. The project is subject to prevailing wage rates in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $870.00 per calendar day. No bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids.
