Altus Public Library - Rooftop Air-Cooled Chiller Replacement The scope of work includes, at minimum, all of the following. Bidders must price the complete scope. Partial bids will not be accepted. Mechanical Scope _ Demolition, removal, and proper disposal of existing Trane 52-ton air-cooled chiller _ EPA-compliant R-22 refrigerant recovery and disposal prior to removal _ Supply and installation of one (1) new 52-ton Trane CGAM air-cooled chiller - Trane CGAM platform required; alternate manufacturers will not be accepted _ New structural I-beam mounting with spring vibration isolators, engineered for this rooftop application and the replacement unit's dimensional footprint _ New chilled water supply and return connections to existing building piping _ New automatic air bleeder at high point of chilled water piping _ New expansion tank on chilled water system (boiler room location) _ Insulation and aluminum wrap of all roof-exposed chilled water piping _ Crane and rigging for removal of existing unit and installation of replacement unit _ Modification of existing rooftop safety rail and work platform to meet current code requirements _ Jobsite cleanup and disposal of all construction debris Electrical Scope _ Disconnect and remove existing chiller power feed _ Remove existing phase monitor contactor and relay assembly _ Install new dedicated feed to replacement chiller from existing disconnect _ Install new correctly-sized fuses per replacement equipment specifications _ Extend City-provided 20-amp circuit to power chiller heaters (City will provide circuit to roof penetration) Controls Scope _ Full integration of replacement chiller controls with existing facility BAS/controls system _ Integration of chilled water pumps and update of chiller controls _ Trane Controls involvement required; identify Trane Controls representative in bid Startup, Warranty & Closeout _ Factory startup and commissioning by Trane-authorized personnel _ Provision of all startup documentation, as-built markups, and equipment manuals to City This project is subject to the following requirements: Oklahoma Public Competitive Bidding Act, 61 O.S. 101 et seq. Noncollusion Affidavit required per 61 O.S. 108 and 138 - must be executed, notarized, and submitted with bid Contractor responsibility evaluation - past performance on City of Altus contracts will be considered Bids shall be made in accordance with the Invitation for Bids (IFB-FAC-2026-LIB-CHILLER), Information to Bidders, Specifications, and Bid Form, on file and available for examination at the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 509 S. Main, Altus, Oklahoma, and made part of this notice as though fully set forth herein. Bidder must supply all information required by the Bid Form and submit all documentation required by the IFB. Bids/Proposals received more than 96 hours (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays) before the set time for opening bids, as well as bids received after the set time for opening of bids, will not be considered and will be returned unopened. A cashier's check, certified check, surety bond, or irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany the sealed bid of each bidder. Deposits will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. Bidders assume all risk of field conditions and site-specific scope requirements not identified prior to bid submission. No change orders will be considered for conditions that would have been apparent upon reasonable site inspection. The City of Altus reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any and all informalities, and award to the lowest responsible bidder. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
