Renovation of a military facility in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

Work will include the removal and disposal of the existing vault doors, and the replacement with new vault doors and frames that are compatible with the existing opening and GSA approved . Work will include all necessary labor, procurement of materials, and equipment to conduct the replacement of two vault doors at the Chicopee Armory (26 Armory Dr Chicopee, MA 01013). The awarded Contractor shall remove and dispose the existing vault doors and replace them with new vault doors and frames that are compatible with the existing opening and GSA approved in accordance with Federal Specification FF-L-2937. Location- 371 Armory Dr. Chicopee, MA 01020 Estimated Project Cost: $90,000.00 The applicable minority workforce utilization percentage is 15.3 %. The applicable women workforce utilization percentage is 6.9 %. Question Deadline 06/29/2026 Deadline for Questions - All questions shall be emailed to nicholas.haddad@mass.gov The work shall be conducted by Contract. The work performed by the qualified Contractor shall include all necessary labor, procurement of materials, and equipment to conduct the replacement of two vault doors at the Chicopee Armory (26 Armory Dr Chicopee, MA 01013). The awarded Contractor shall remove and dispose the existing vault doors and replace them with new vault doors and frames that are compatible with the existing opening and GSA approved in accordance with Federal Specification FF-L-2937. The Contractor shall be responsible for the removal and disposal of the existing vault doors and frames in accordance with (IAW) local, State, and Federal regulations. Vendor shall be responsible for any/all retrofit and re-engineering of local structure at existing door frames and partitions as required by new vault doors specifications. The Contractor shall include all work involving the intrusion detection system (IDS) including but not limited too: seismic sensors, BMS magnets, and ensure monitoring is satisfactory. The vault doors and frames shall be rated for Category II storage. The vault doors shall be installed in a phased operation and a schedule shall be provided to the designated Point of Contact (POC) in PDF format. The Contractor shall work in line with Electronic Security System (ESS) Manager to ensure intrusion detection system (IDS) is operational. The vault doors shall be classified as a 5-B vault in accordance with AA-D-600D. The contractor's proposal shall include the delivery of the material, off-loading, and movement into the facility. A final cleaning shall be included upon completion of the installation/replacement. Work can be performed during normal business hours (0700-1500), the building will remain operational and the contractor must coordinate the installation with the POC outlined below and the ESS Manager. The unit/POC is responsible for relocating any equipment or material to allow free and unobstructed access to the area before the Contractor's installation. A site assessment (walk-through) shall be conducted prior to submitting any proposal with the POC and/or CFMO representative. Attendance at the site walk-through is optional; however, the contractor must ensure that all vault door measurements have been accurately verified in advance. Scheduling and site access will be coordinated with the designated POC and the CFMO representative. Contractor shall pull all necessary permits for the project in accordance with State laws and regulations. Awarded Contractor shall submit a project schedule to the POC and Construction Facilities Management Office (CFMO) representative in PDF format..
