Major retrofit of Unit 2 elevator including new controls, elevator car, top hat extension, engineered drawings, full rewiring, floor indicators, hoist machine, governor, door systems, pit upgrades, car cab modernization, fixtures, safety upgrades, and compliance with NB Elevators and Lifts Act Documents are available at https://nbpower.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities/107977 DESCRIPTION General The Contractor shall supply all supervision, labour, plant, transportation, materials and equipment (except as otherwise specified) and do all Work necessary, described in the Upgrade Unit 2 Elevator specifications and drawings, at the Coleson Cove Generating Station, 4077 King William Road, Saint John, New Brunswick, as shown on the drawings, as specified herein and as described by the Engineer. Description of the Work The Work includes but is not limited to the following: Coleson Cove Generating Station currently has five (5) elevators in service. Three (3) of the elevators were installed during construction in the early 70s. Unit 2 elevator has been maintained and tested every year and passed inspection annually, However, they are now at the point in their life cycle that they need a major retrofit due to obsolescence and to bring them up to current standards. The entire elevator will be refitted with new controls, new car with a new top hat, new stamped approved engineered drawings, all new wiring as well as floor indicators on every floor.
