The East Boundary fuels mitigation project aims to protect critical Department of Defense infrastructure and assets by creating resilient forested landscapes through the thinning of unhealthy forests to reduce hazardous fuels in areas near these installations. The project involves creating a mosaic of forest conditions adjacent to installations by completing fuel treatments to reduce the amount of standing biomass within forest vegetation types. Work includes masticating or chipping small diameter conifer species, masticating or chipping Gambel oak, and pruning conifer species. There is no product removal associated with this project. Quotations are requested from eligible companies under the R2 Rocky Mountain Restoration Project BPA for the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests in Colorado, and this acquisition is set aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit a quotation. The period of performance is Sept 26, 2026 through June 30, 2028
